How to find Camelot

Camelot is located on the Pembrokeshire coast, in west Wales.

For sat-nav users or users of online maps, the address with post code is:

Parrog
Newport
Pembrokeshire
United Kingdom
SA42 0RP

If you search for Camelot using Google map the precise location of Camelot on the map is not correct. It is located 150 yards further north than is displayed beyond the Boat Club.

Suggested route from the South

This is not the quickest or the prettiest route, but if you are new to the area it is the easiest to follow, and the most reliable in times of bad weather:

Take the M4 to Swansea
Continue west on dual carriageway A48 to Carmarthen
Go over Carmarthen Bridge.
Turn left onto dual carriageway A40 to Pembroke Dock
Follow A40 all the way to Fishguard
Go across the town square and exit on the A487 to Cardigan.
Follow A487 down hill to old town, and up the other side of the valley.
Continue on A487 through Dinas Cross Village (6 miles)
After a further 4 miles reach Newport (Welsh name Trefdraeth.)
Go down the hill into the village.
Take left fork and follow main road for further 30 yards.
Turn sharp left into Parrog Road. (If you pass the filling station on your left, you have gone too far!)

Suggested route from the North

This is a trickier route to suggest. There are two main access points to the main coast road, A487; either from the North via Cardigan, or joining the A487 at Eglwyswrw.

In either case take the route south to Newport and Fishguard. You will be getting close to Newport when you drive through the hamlet of Velindre, about 1 mile before Newport.
Go up the hill, and along the straight road leading into Newport.
On entering the village, keep on the main road, past the main crossroads.
Past the Panda crossing and the garage on the right hand side.
50 yards later take next turning right into Parrog. (If you start to go up a gentle hill and past a fork on your left, you have gone too far!)

From the top of Parrog Road.

Drive down Parrog Road to the bottom of the hill.
Go round left bend, road narrows, after 50 yards, Mr. Rees house, Swn-y-Mor, is on the left.
Continue down Parrog, and very shortly turn right into car park.
Go across car park, past the Boat Club on left hand side.
Along small track for 30 yards, Camelot is the first cottage on left with its ruin further on.
You can park in front of the garden wall, although this can get busy in August, or between Camelot and the shed.
